A big thank you to everyone who turned out on 1st April to help FHRA spring clean the village. It seems a slightly later day in the calendar (with warmer sunshine), tempted a few more people out – we think there were upwards of 50 people helping in one way or another during the morning.
We were especially pleased to see some of our younger residents taking such a keen interest in keeping our village looking clean and tidy. We had a group from the Guides, including Guides, Brownies and Rainbows who looked after the Recreation Ground – thank you so much!
Thanks too to the Methodist Church for laying on teas and coffees during the morning, and rewarding hard work with soup and rolls at lunchtime.
Look how much rubbish we collected:
Look how lovely Jubilee Gardens (which were created by FHRA to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012) looked after a lot of hard work!
